Here's a bit about me!

So my friend and fellow blogger, Kristie, tagged me in an “About Me” post a few months ago and I thought my birthday would be a good time to post it! So get to know a bit more about me:

1. Where were you born and Where did you grow up?

I was born in San Francisco, CA! Raised in the Bay Area until 2010!

2. Where do you currently live?

Currently I’m in the DC Metropolitan Area, also known as the DMV, which is not only the Department of Motor Vehicles, but also DC, Maryland, & Virginia (:

3. Do you have any siblings? If so, how many?

I do! I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. I’m the youngest!

4. How tall are you?

I share heights with the greatest Melissa Arnette aka Missy Elliott, basically, I’m 5’2.

5. Describe yourself in 5 words.

Warm, Passionate, Helper, Encouraging, Student

6. Do you speak another language? If so, what?

I do not speak another language fluently. I have learned Spanish and would love to know my native languages (Tiv and Nupe). I am currently learning Hebrew this semester.

7. Who is your best friend?

I have multiple and yes, that is totally a thing!

8. What sports do you play or have you played?

I have played Volleyball, in 6th and 7th grade, then again from 9-11th grade. I have danced on and off from Kindergarten to now.

9. What is your go-to hairstyle?

My favorite protective style generally is a wig, but I really like faux locs and senegalese twists. When I have my natural hair out, I like two puffs!

10. What's your biggest challenge as a blogger?

I can agree with my friend, Kristie, that I’m blogging at a time where people are less likely to read in general but also with that, not everyone is a Christian or has interested in the faith so my blog may come off as “appealing” to a lot of people. But I know that there are people this site is for and that’s what keeps me going!

11. How would you describe your fashion sense?

Anything that is comfortable! That’s my biggest question I ask myself when I try on clothing. If I’m not comfortable, I most likely won’t wear it.

12. What's your favorite song?

I can’t say that I actually have one. Not that I know of, at least. If anything it is either “I Love You, Lord” that can lead into spontaneous worship, or Jesus, You’re Beautiful by Cece Winans (especially if it’s a live version)

13. Twitter or Instagram?

Depends. I like the ways you can push+express your creativity on Insta. I like the “community” you can create on Twitter and the culture on there. It’s quite unique.

14. 3 Social Media Influencers who you are loving right now?

Chinny Okafor (T/IG: ChinnyOh, IG: abujafinds, IG: CEOConsulting), MoChunks (T/IG/YT: MoChunks, MoChunksTV, IG: @anumediaproductions) & Ehis Ilozobhie (T/IG/YT: @ehisilozobhie)

15. Favorite thing to do in your free time?

I absolutely love reading, but like a lot of others don’t always make the time for it. I also love dancing, singing, and spending time with loved ones!

16. Favorite junk food?

Hot Cheetos, Black Pepper Kettle Chips, and Kettle Corn from the Farmers Market

17. Your Celebrity Crushes?

18. What shows/movies are you currently watching?

This is Us (Deja+Malik STAN), A Million Little Things, Greenleaf, Grey’s and once Disney+ comes out, I’ll get back to Boy Meets World from start to finish and all the other old series I liked!

19. Biggest struggle you have had to overcome?

I would say revaluating what purity means. I will write about this in more detail later.

20. If you can live anywhere in the world where would it be?

WOW. Good question.

21. Describe a perfect summer.

Lots of travel + spending time with loved ones + dry heat type of weather (Summer is not my favorite season)

22. One thing you are proud of?

I am proud of the fact that people think I’m in Extrovert (I am not) because it shows growth (for me), but man let me tell you it’s also hard out here. Also, I’m learning Hebrew rn so there’s that.

21. Are you working or are you in school? If so, what do you study/what is your profession?

I will complete my Bachelor’s this December (S/O to all the Fall Graduates, you matter). I will be getting my degree in Family Science, it “focuses on the study of families and the challenges they face in contemporary society”. If you’d like to learn more about it, click here!

I believe that healthy families lead to a healthy society and that families will play key roles when it comes to revival, just like Rick Pino said here! I want to be a Marriage and Family Therapist, and prayerfully, get into Pastoral Counseling as well!

22. Best concert experience?

I saw Xavier Omar in 2017. My concert partner couldn’t come last minute, but it was still such an amazing experience. Xavier is also so amazing live. The next one has to be Chance the Rapper (the second time) with one of my best friends or Inspiration Celebration (Tye Tribbett, Donald Lawrence, Keke Wyatt, Kierra Sheard, & Sir the Baptist)!

23. What are you looking forward to in the next few months?

I am really looking forward to the holiday season, my graduation, my upcoming mission trip to South Africa, and the new year!

24. Three travel destinations on your bucket list.

Hawaii+Tahiti (I wanna dance man), Italy, and Greece!

25. Tell us one thing about you that we wouldn’t know?

At one point when I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher, and now I’m in a class called “Teaching as a Career” also one of my office gifts is teaching. Cool how these things work (:

Feel free to use these questions as well! Maybe as a video?

Much love,
