Be an Example

We’ve heard many times that we’re set apart, we’re different, we’re supposed to stand out, etc. After hearing it so many times, it’s easy to just tune it out. But it’s very important to walk in accordance with these truths. 

Self check: Are you an example to those around you? If you were someone else, would you be your friend? Do your words and your works match up or are you saying you live one way, but your actions convey another? These are some things to really think about. 

People are always watching us, and when they find out that we’re Christians, it always seems like, literally, all eyes are on us. Some may be looking to us for guidance, others may be waiting to see us fall, either way people are paying attention. So think about it in this way: your life is your ministry. Everything we do, everything we say can be an opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission. If we keep this in mind, we’re more likely to be intentional about our everyday activities.

If you agree that people are always watching, use that attention to your advantage. Plant those seeds. You could be the reason someone decides to follow Jesus. And by God’s grace, you will make a difference. No pressure (:
