Never Stop Praying
*Let me start by saying sorry I went ghost for a few weeks. I haven’t been in a mood to write, and I’m still not in it, but I know if I don’t write something soon I’ll get stuck in my writer’s block and never get back to it.
I’ve been trying to improve my prayer life lately. It’s been very exciting, challenging, and amazing all at the same time. I pray sometimes out loud, in my head, or write them down in my prayer journal. All very effective ways, although I don’t recommend praying in your head right before you fall asleep because you’ll probably end up actually falling asleep…sorry, God 😅
Anyway, I just finished fasting with my leadership team. During the time, I was praying for some things, two of which were confirmation for my next steps in school and financial blessings towards school.
Day after day, I prayed for these two things in hopes that what I was asking for was in accordance with God’s will. For my next steps, I had an idea of what I wanted to do and after talking to one of my friends on the phone last week, I believe that I know what I should do next. I really believe in putting your passion into practice and if you can make money from it, do it! I mean, who wouldn’t want to be doing something they truly love for the rest of their life knowing they’re making an impact? The money that comes with it is just a bonus! Speaking of money, this time last year I was praying for money in school just like I was recently. As I prayed every day, I remembered what my Father did for my last year and truly believed that He would provide for me again. And guess what? He has showed up and showed out as He usually does. Right on time.
My hope for you is that you pray until you get a response. If at first the response is not what you believe God has for you, which you’ll know through proper discernment, keep praying until you get it. It’s easy to become discouraged when it seems like you’ve been praying for 20 days and you get no response. But God will send you encouragement on that 21st day. He will send you a sign that will motivate you to continue to pray. And who knows, maybe even in that same day He will send you that blessing. Even if you don’t get what you ask for, it doesn’t mean He doesn’t want it for you, it means He either has something better in store that you can’t imagine or you just need to wait just a bit longer. Remember when you ask God for something, you’re on His timing, not your own. Don’t lose hope, it’s coming. Don’t doubt Him, that’s how you will lose what you ask for. Don’t allow worry to creep in, He’s got you. Just pray. Believe with all your heart that you will get what you’re asking for, according to His will.
Much love always,
