P R E P A R E
Have you ever had a conversation with someone where they give you important instruction? Or maybe they say a key phrase that sticks with you far after the convo has ended? Same. My word has been prepare.
I believe, thanks to God’s lovely signs, that I am in a season of preparation. This is not the first day of said season, it started a while back, but now I wanted to let you in.
Sometimes my parents, typically my mom, sometimes asks me to prepare the house/a room for a visitor. Who is coming? I'm not sure (& sometimes, she doesn’t know either). All I know is, that I need to make sure the spaces are presentable for the person coming. If it doesn’t happen, the visitor may feel unwelcome and probably will look for another place to stay. We’d miss out on the gift of their presence in our home.
Can I tell you a secret?
I don’t know exactly what it is I’m preparing for. And for once, I am completely okay with that.
When it comes to my faith, I believe there’s beauty in the unknown. I also believe not everything is revealed to you at one time. I’m sure this is for our own good. I’m glad that God knows his children very well. When you know something is supposed to happen, but you’re not sure of how it’s going to get to you, you might have the tendency to do it your own way. And sometimes, even with instruction, you STILL might try to do it your own way *cough* Moses *cough*
I think, at this time in my life, I’m excited to not know what exactly it is that I’m supposed to get ready for. You know why? It means that I have to fully surrender and put my faith in my all-knowing Heavenly Father. Now, this might seem scary to some, and honestly a few years back, maybe even some months, it would’ve been to me as well. But at this point in my life, I am truly internalizing that putting my faith in God means I have nothing to lose, but so so so much to gain. By being obedient and patient in this season, I am showing God that I do trust in him and believe in his plan for my life. I am showing Him that his Words are enough…that He is enough (literally living out the meaning of my name). I am slowly, but surely, coming to the place where I know and believe that God’s way is the best way. What I know in my heart is pouring out in my action.
Maybe you can relate. Maybe you’re in a space where God is preparing you for something, and you’re not quite sure what it is. Or maybe you do know what it is, but right now you can’t imagine how you’ll get there. I want to encourage you today to activate your faith. God knows what he’s doing and wants you to believe that for yourself. Maybe He’s given you a dream or a (prophetic) word. Maybe He’s given you a vision or stirred your spirit in a way that doesn’t quite make sense at the moment. Believe in your heart and mind that whatever that thing is, it will come to pass, but you need to be prepared. Pray towards that thing. Hold it close to your heart. Stay in your Word. See what God says about your future and the great things He has for you. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss out on whatever it is I’m preparing for in this season!
A move of God is getting ready to knock at your door, are you ready?
Much love always,
Kumam
