From Generation to Generation

Remember when God told Sarah she was going to bear a child in her old age then she laughed and tried to tell God she actually didn’t? Or when Abraham was out in the Negev region and was telling people Sarah was his sister and not his wife?  Something makes me think that these stories were told to Isaac, but ended with something along the lines of “and yet God still showed us favour” so the issue was minimized. Later, Isaac repeated the exact same thing his father did, in the same region, with the same king. WILD. *sings* Do you see what I see?

Love One Another

Jesus doesn’t tell us to only love other Christians. He doesn’t tell us to only love those who are from the same place as us. He tells us to love everyone with live close to, but not just that everyone we meet as well. The cashier at Safeway, the professor who doesn’t curve grades for their course, Sister Susie that took your parking spot last Sunday at the church lot, the man you pass by on the street asking you for something you walked too fast to hear him even say. Every single person we encounter.

Finals Affirmations Fall 2018 Day 6

Today, ask God for the thing you’re seeking. Maybe it’s wisdom, maybe it’s understanding, maybe it’s a certain grade, or grace for a certain assignment. Whatever it is believe that He will grant it to you and even expect that He will do it. Do not allow doubt to enter your mind. When those thoughts start creeping in, say “Why would I even think that? That’s not the kind of God i serve. He has done it before and he can do it again.”

Lesson #2: Studying the Word

As we’re all beginning another school year, I want to encourage you all to actually study your bibles with sincerity. We should study our bibles the same way we study for an exam at school. Actually take it serious. Don’t let it be an afterthought. Don’t let it be an obligation. Make it the first thing you do because it is the most important thing you want to do. Because God is the most important thing to you.

My Dad

My father is literally the best! My dad loves me so much. He may not always explicitly said, “I love you,” but he definitely has showed it since birth. My dad doesn’t say no, unless he thinks what I’m asking for is not good for me. He even gives me things without me asking, even more than I would’ve asked for. He always keeps me in mind. These are just a few ways he shows me that he loves me.
